Mode Elle arranges opportunities for Models and Actors to photograph with top industry photography teams. The teams travel from Toronto to our Belleville location. The photographers, make-up artists and stylists work to make models and actors look and feel fabulous, comfortable and confident in front of the camera!
When you get started in the industry you want to have the highest quality images to showcase to clients and casting directors. To compete with the best, you want to work with the best. In addition, Mode Elle is able to offer the photoshoots at a significantly lower rate due to volume.
Photoshoots are completely optional. You only need professional pictures if you are looking to be promoted nationally and/or internationally.
What happens at a Modelling photoshoot?
Models arrive at the photoshoot with a clean face and no make-up. Hair should be clean, dry and with no product in it. Female and male models ages 12 and over do not have to bring clothing as there will be a Wardrobe Stylist on-set. When you first arrive, you are fitted for your wardrobe: two different outfits/looks.
The Wardrobe Stylist brings the hottest and latest trends in designer clothing, accessories, and shoes. Mode Elle sends the model’s measurements and sizes to the Wardrobe Stylist two weeks prior to the photoshoot. Once your wardrobe is selected, it is time to sit in the make-up and hair chair and your transformation begins! When hair and make-up is completed, you get into your first outfit which was selected for you and shoot the look. Once your first look is finished, it’s back to make-up and hair, and the process starts all over again to prepare you for your second look!
What Happens at a Photoshoot for Talent Headshots?
This photoshoot is to obtain Talent Headshots necessary for obtaining work in the field of Acting: TV commercials, music videos, television, and film. Actors participating in a talent headshot photoshoot may be supplying their own wardrobe or a wardrobe stylist may be a part of the team. Refer to the photoshoot flyer for more information. Actors arrive at the photoshoot with a clean face and no make-up. Hair is clean, dry and has no product in it. The photography team will assist you in selecting a marketable look for the photoshoot. From there, you go to the make-up and hair chair. For a talent headshot, actors should look like themselves. The goal is to capture the real you, looking as natural as possible. Remember that your photo and resume are submitted for audition opportunities and if you are selected, it is first and foremost because you have the right “look” or skills for that part, role or brand. When you land that audition and walk through the doors of Casting, they want to recognize you from your talent headshot. Once your first look is finished, it’s back to make-up and hair, and the process starts all over again to prepare you for your second look!
*Photoshoots are Available to Mode Elle Models, Actors and Students Only.
